We get some requests for unscented products, but it can be a bit harder than most people think. Generally the consumer believes that “unscented” means no smell. Unfortunately this is often not the case. Natural and organic raw materials have their own inherent smell. Organic Jojoba and Olive oil each have a distinct odor. Some formulations (such as our salt scrub) have a very distinct smell when there is no additional scent added.
If we did an Unscented Salt Scrub, customers might open the product and expect NO smell. They may be surprised to find that the product does indeed have an odor.
Generally I find, that most people really just want no added synthetic fragrances. We do not put any scent at all in our Goat’s Milk Soap, and all of our other products are scented with either pure essential oils, or completely natural fragrance oil blends. I suggest to customers that they try mild scents (Orange & Ginger, Cider & Spice, or Lavender.)
The ingredients list beside each product will indicate whether the scent is essential oils or natural fragrance.
Just a note of explanation: by law in Canada we are required to identify fragrance (even if it is natural) as “Parfum” and flavour as “Aroma”. This does NOT not mean we have put in any synthetic materials, we are just complying with the Canadian Cosmetics Labeling requirements. You can find out more about this at Health Canada. Or just ask us about any or our ingredients.

I have just tried my first Solas product (the watermelon lipbalm) and I love it. What a wonderful product. And I am super impressed that the products are vegan and mostly organic. I will be promoting you and blogging. :)
